Accounts Payable Manager

RTO: 3days onsite, 2days remote

Hours: 9a-5/6p

Location: NYC

Compensation: ($110K-$130K) base + 10% bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly expense activity; serve as the primary liaison for administrative teams
• Monitor the AP inbox; validate, code, and process vendor invoices in accordance with internal approval workflows
• Initiate and process electronic payments; apply disbursements in NetSuite to clear vendor balances
• Support the month-end close by reconciling accounts, identifying variances, and correcting errors or omissions
• Manage 1099 preparation and submission across all entities
• Onboard new vendors by collecting required documentation and completing banking callbacks based on tax classification
• Investigate and resolve payment inquiries and discrepancies, escalating complex issues as needed
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate accounting policies
• Provide audit support; maintain organized electronic records, download monthly bank statements, and comply with document retention policies

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required)
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and NetSuite (preferred)
• Experience with electronic payment systems and banking portals
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, solve problems, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities with attention to detail
