In this role, you will be the first point of contact for the company’s gas and electric customers, handling inquiries, complaints, and sales/promotional opportunities in a dynamic, high-call-volume environment. As a Billing Representative , you will play a pivotal role in maintaining customer satisfaction through direct communication channels such as phone, email, and chat.

Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to all company customer service inquiries, aiming for one-call resolution through verbal and written communication.
• Issue orders to establish or discontinue gas service and create Electric Service Identifier (ESID) numbers for meter sets.
• Resolve billing inquiries, perform account adjustments, negotiate payment arrangements, and process online customer service and electronic billing inquiries.
• Solicit and gather customer feedback on service provided, taking actionable steps based on customer input.
• Receive and prioritize trouble calls effectively, ensuring timely resolution.
• Interact with Competitive Retail providers (CRs) regarding readings, billing dates, order receipts, etc.
• Ensure proper electric and gas permitting by collaborating with internal permitting departments or other entities.
• Consider each customer interaction an opportunity to sell or promote additional value-added products or services the company offers.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Transmission and Distribution, Field Activities, Field Services, Revenue Accounting, and others as necessary, to resolve customer inquiries and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of customer interaction experience, preferably in a high-volume call center environment, demonstrating effective resolution of customer concerns.
