Insight Global is looking for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician to help their client's new clinic that just opened up in Fremont, CA. Outside of the general phlebotomy tasks, they need someone that is open to supporting office management and administrative tasks as they build up the team in the clinic. Some of the duties may be Patient check-in, obtaining vital signs, room turnover, front desk coverage, and general support for our back-office team and medical assistants on non-phlebotomy days.

On days that are more focused on Phlebotomy, duties will look like the below:

-Performs routine pediatric phlebotomy on patients anywhere from 2-25 years old.

- Prepare for patients’ visit by reviewing upcoming appointment schedules and completing any pre-visit workflows.

- Organizes and processes clinical specimens accurately. Identifies worksheet, computer and specimen problems and demonstrates ability to either resolve or elevate to licensed personnel appropriately.

- Creates patient requisitions in the Laboratory Information System.

- Ensures draw stations and laboratory areas are neat and clean.

-Follow Foundation Labs procedures to ensure patient samples get transferred in an appropriate manner. - Logs, labels, and processes specimens and paperwork for testing.

- Review after visit summary with patients whenever appropriate. Educate patients about pre and post appointment procedures/requirements and answer any questions they may have regarding their appointment.

- Orders, unpacks, logs and stores supplies.

- Assisting with clinical care, such as but not limited to: checking in patients, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, diagnostic procedures, and exercising patients

Position is paying between $25-32/HR depending on candidate

Shift: Clinic is open M-F 8AM to 5PM (Expected to be onsite 7:45AM to 4:45PM PST)
