Job Description

South Carolina Christian Foundation, a well-established Christian community foundation, is looking to increase our print materials and digital media, to grow our social presence and online interactions through content creation, and to expand our current communications into a full-scale marketing strategy. Strong candidates will have exceptional written communication skills, experience producing print and online publications, knowledge of social media applications and platforms, and the ability to translate technical concepts into relatable information both textually and graphically.

 

RESPONSIBLITIES 

 

  • Produce copy and content for brochures, marketing materials, newsletters, announcements, etc. for both print and digital distribution 
  • Design, in alignment with our brand, print and digital publications utilizing text, photos, and graphics communicating SCCF’s client services and organizational activities
  • Create engaging and effective posts for social channels 
  • Produce and edit photos, videos, and graphics for social posts 
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions assisting in the coordination of an annual and weekly social content calendars and social media campaigns 
  • Monitor and update the foundation’s website 
  • Stay current on digital and social media trends and implement best practices 
  • Assist, as needed, with email communications to various constituents 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • Relevant experience of 4-5 years, preferably with Christian organizations 
  • Proven skills in copy writing, editing, and graphics design; with experience in digital photography and videography 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Creative thinker and self-starter with outgoing personality 
  • Attention to detail and highly organized 
  • Proficient with creative software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Publisher, Premiere, After Effects, Canva, or equivalents 
  • Proficient with all major social platforms 
  • Knowledge of social and content marketing best practices and trends 
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to events around South Carolina 

 

HOURS OF WORK 

 

  • This part time role will be based in Spartanburg, South Carolina 
  • Opportunities for a flexible work environment (at times remote) 
  • This position will report to the Executive Team
