Job Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Bowa Construction is a General Contractor and Construction Management firm built on the core principles of family, honesty, discipline, and quality. With a team of industry experts experienced in general contracting, design-build, and construction management, we deliver every project with passion and purpose. We are driven by the long-term impact our work has on the communities we serve.

ROLE SUMMARY:

As a Project Executive at Bowa Construction, you will lead the delivery of large-scale, high-profile commercial projects—most notably a convention center that will serve as a signature development for the City of Dallas. This executive leadership role calls for deep construction expertise, strategic foresight, and a commitment to building lasting relationships.

You will be responsible for managing internal teams, overseeing project performance, maintaining client satisfaction, and ensuring successful execution from preconstruction through closeout. This role will also support business development, procurement strategy, and company-wide operational initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project owners, architects, and consultants.
  • Lead high-level meetings, progress reviews, and planning sessions to ensure alignment on objectives.
  • Support business development efforts by fostering client relationships and identifying repeat business opportunities.

Project Oversight & Execution

  • Provide strategic oversight for the full project lifecycle—preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, risk mitigation, and closeout.
  • Lead project execution for a large-scale convention center, ensuring delivery meets all quality, cost, and timeline goals.
  • Work closely with field leadership and project management teams to drive performance, safety, and collaboration.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Mentor and guide senior project managers, engineers, and coordinators, building a high-performing and accountable project team.
  • Facilitate regular coaching, goal-setting, and development opportunities for team growth.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, integrity, and excellence across all teams.

Financial & Operational Excellence

  • Manage project financials, including forecasting, cost tracking, billing, and cash flow.
  • Lead contract strategy, subcontractor negotiations, and vendor management.
  • Align project-level financials with overall company targets and reporting requirements.

Innovation & Process Improvement

  • Champion the use of construction technology, lean practices, and innovative delivery methods.
  • Implement systems and procedures that support consistency, learning, and continuous improvement across projects.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction, with a focus on large civic, institutional, or public-sector projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, high-budget projects ($50M+) from preconstruction to closeout.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, scheduling, and construction financials.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead diverse stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of local codes, permitting, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced certifications (PMP, CCM, LEED) are a plus.

BENEFITS:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance – 70% employer contribution + HSA support
  • Performance-Based Bonuses – Percentage of base salary
  • Parental Leave
  • Basic Life & AD&D Insurance
  • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Coverage
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Vacation, Sick Time & Holidays
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Stress management & personal support services
