Superintendent – Commercial General Contractor

Location: Houston, TX

A well-established Commercial General Contractor in Houston is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their growing operations team. This contractor specializes in ground-up commercial construction across healthcare, education, religious and government delivering high-quality projects throughout the Houston area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Superintendent who thrives in managing complex commercial builds, leading site teams, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Candidates with solely multi family/ residential experience will not be considered, also must have excellent tenures at previous companies (Minimum 3+ years at previous companies)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day on-site construction activities from project start to completion
• Manage subcontractors, scheduling, site logistics, and quality control
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, clients, and design teams
• Drive project schedules and resolve on-site challenges efficiently

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of Superintendent experience on ground-up commercial construction projects
• Proven experience delivering projects in the sectors above
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site operations effectively
• OSHA certification preferred
