As the company's first data engineer, you will build pipelines and data acquisition streams to interface and curate data for research scientists. You must come from a video data background. Multiple hand-offs across multiple research phases is expected. A nice-to-have is experience with synthetic data. Sometimes researchers will say things, and they don't know exactly what they're looking for. You are the bridge to say this is the data we have, this is the data we can acquire, how can we work with you? Finally, you should be able to code and have the ability to build out scripts. If you come from an ML / SWE background in your past lives, huge plus.
