We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Driver Education to lead our team and enhance our educational offerings.
This is a unique opportunity to be an instrumental part of developing and implementing a brand new program!
As the Director of Driver Education, you will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of our driver education programs. You will be responsible for ensuring that our curriculum meets state regulations and industry standards while promoting safe driving practices among new drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
*Contract and maintain relationships with driving schools.
*Develop schedules that work for the driving schools and Homework Hub.
*Act as parent liaison.
*Act as DMV Representative for our school.
*Lead and manage the driver education department, including hiring, training, and supervising instructors.
*Develop and update the driver education curriculum to align with current laws and best practices.
*Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and student performance, making necessary adjustments for improvement.
*Collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and government agencies to promote driver education initiatives.
*Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding driver education.
*Manage the department budget and allocate resources effectively.
*Promote a culture of safety and responsibility among students and instructors.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in education, traffic safety, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
*Minimum of 3 years of experience in driver education or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
*Strong understanding of state driver education regulations and best practices.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
*Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Hours:
*Flexible based on the need of the program
*30-40 hours per week
*Must be available before and after school hours and possibly some hours on the weekends.
*The schedule will become more consistent as the program develops.
Salary:
*$24 per hour
