Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Construction Estimator with at least 6 years of experience and a strong background in sitework. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, performing detailed quantity take-offs, and supporting bidding efforts for projects involving excavation, grading, utilities, concrete work, and general civil/site development. This role requires solid technical knowledge, strong analytical abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for civil/sitework projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine accurate scopes of work
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for earthwork, utilities, grading, site concrete, and related activities
• Conduct site visits as needed to evaluate existing conditions and potential risks
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing
• Work closely with project management and engineering teams to refine estimates and support bid strategies
• Maintain accurate estimating templates, cost data, production rates, and unit pricing

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 6 years of experience in civil construction estimating
• Strong background in sitework , including excavation, grading, utilities, and site development
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Agtek, Civil3D, HeavyBid, or similar
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, civil plans, and technical documents
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines effectively
