Role Summary

We are seeking a highly empathetic and organized Family Vacation Planner & Specialist to design, book, and manage tailored itineraries for families and multi-generational groups. This role requires an individual who understands the unique logistical, safety, and financial considerations of family travel. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with deep destination knowledge, committed to maximizing fun and value for clients across all price points.

Key Responsibilities

• Custom Itinerary Design: Design comprehensive, age-appropriate, and engaging family itineraries, carefully balancing relaxation time, activity schedules, and travel logistics (e.g., maximizing direct flights, minimizing transfers).
• Safety & Logistics Expertise: Research and advise clients on critical elements like travel insurance, required documentation (passports/visas for children), car seat/crib rentals, and safety ratings for destinations and accommodations.
• Value Maximization: Strategically recommend accommodations, packages, and activities that provide the best value for the family budget, including leveraging loyalty programs, resort credits, and finding complementary amenities.
• Accommodation Sourcing: Specialize in booking family-friendly accommodations, including connecting rooms, suites, condos, and villas, ensuring they meet the specific needs of all ages (toddler, teen, grandparent).
• Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with family decision-makers to identify diverse needs, manage expectations across multiple generations, and provide proactive support before and during travel.

Qualifications

• Exceptional listening, empathy, and communication skills to navigate complex family dynamics and preferences.
• Proven ability to research and compare options effectively to deliver the greatest value and save the client time and money.
• Proficiency in travel booking software and excellent organizational skills for managing detailed manifests and staggered payment schedules.
