Job Title: Game Data Analyst

Position Type: Full-time/permanent

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000/year

We're looking for a Game Data Analyst for a rapidly growing global analytics platform focused on the gaming industry to join their U.S. Customer Success team. In this role, you'll be the key analytics partner to game studios, helping them onboard successfully, unlock valuable insights, and build a strong data-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Lead Customer Onboarding: Guide clients through integration, event validation, and dashboard setup for a powerful behavioral analytics platform.
• Act as a Trusted Advisor: Help studios map business goals to actionable data strategies, from collection through analysis and reporting.
• Champion Data-Driven Culture: Provide ongoing support and guidance to encourage analytical thinking across customer organizations.
• Deliver Industry Insights: Tailor analytics best practices to different game genres, business models (IAP, IAA, hybrid), and stages (soft launch, LiveOps).
• Analyze & Advise: Perform diagnostic and descriptive analyses to uncover insights on user behavior, monetization, and gameplay design.
• Support & Train: Address product questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide training (onsite or remote) to client teams.
• Share Knowledge: Contribute to internal and external resources, including frameworks, documentation, and case studies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or higher in Math, Stats, Computer Science, or related field
• 5+ years of data analytics experience (gaming or digital products preferred)
• Advanced SQL skills and hands-on dashboard/report building experience
• Deep understanding of product metrics such as retention, LTV, and funnel analysis
• Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with clients and teams

Bonus Points For:

• Familiarity with game analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, GameAnalytics, Mixpanel)
• Exposure to big data environments (ETL, data lakes)
• Understanding of in-game economies, LiveOps, and A/B testing
