Job Description

The Golf Simulator Installation Technician plays a key role in bringing Innovative Sim’s premium simulator experiences to life. This hands-on position is ideal for a candidate with strong construction and finish carpentry skills, a familiarity with technology and audio/video systems, and a working knowledge of the game of golf. The role focuses on the physical build and installation of golf simulators across the Southeast, including framing, screen mounting, enclosure construction, turf installation, and equipment calibration. The technician will work closely with the Golf Division Manager, project stakeholders, and other field teams to deliver turnkey, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Preparation & Framing
  • Evaluate site conditions and assist with pre-install walkthroughs as needed

  • Frame and construct enclosures, hitting bays, and platform structures per project specifications

  • Safely operate power tools and construction equipment on-site

• Golf Simulator Assembly & Installation
  • Install and align screens, impact materials, turf flooring, acoustical panels, and related components

  • Mount projectors, cameras, swing sensors, and audio/video gear

  • Manage cable routing, concealment, and finish trim as required for premium look

• Technology Integration Support
  • Assist with system wiring and AV calibration under guidance from Innovative tech leads if present

  • Install sim computer and test to ensure simulator connectivity

  • Support sensor and launch monitor setup (Uneekor, Trackman, Foresight, etc.)

• Quality Control & Client Readiness
  • Ensure all physical and visual components meet Innovative’s quality standards

  • Conduct final walkthroughs with team and client as needed

  • Educate client on golf sim use and care (technical walk-throughs handled by Golf Division Manager)

• Collaboration & Travel
  • Work directly with Golf Division Managers to execute jobs on-time and on-budget

  • Travel to projects across AL, GA, TN, FL, and the Carolinas as scheduled

  • Represent Innovative on-site with professionalism and a customer service focus

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• 3+ years of experience in construction, carpentry, or residential finish work

• Proficient with tools and construction layout processes (framing, finish carpentry, trim)

• General AV or technology installation experience

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly across the Southeast

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Familiarity with the game of golf and simulator usage

Preferred:

• Experience installing golf simulators (Uneekor, Trackman, Foresight, etc.)

• Experience with residential tech systems (audio, video, networking)

• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work from ladders or lifts as needed

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Travel and overnight stays are common, depending on job location

• Indoor and partially finished residential job sites

• Occasional long workdays during key install phases

• Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working with hand tools for extended periods
