Production Insurance Underwriter – St. Petersburg, FL

FinTrust Connect is seeking a skilled underwriting professional for the role of Production Insurance Underwriter – Small Commercial BOP. Requirements:

• 3+ years of commercial underwriting experience (BOP or small commercial)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Familiarity with P&C insurance products, rating platforms, and underwriting tools
• Designations like CIC, CPCU, or AU are a plus
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Description:

• Underwrite and select profitable new and renewal small commercial BOP accounts
• Lead agency engagement through field visits, product training, and submission quality feedback
• Collaborate with Distribution and Product teams on territory strategy and product appetite
• Analyze risk, price appropriately, and apply underwriting judgment aligned with portfolio goals
• Manage inspection reports, endorsements, and risk improvement actions
• Monitor agency performance and support underwriting process enhancements
• Up to 30% travel required within assigned territory
