We have a student (11th grade) in need of an in-person tutor to help understand and complete their schoolwork for Integrated Math 2 & 3. It would be once a week on Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:30pm in La Jolla, California.

Role Description, Schedule, & Pay

This is a contract in-person role for a Math Tutor with MBLC. The Math Tutor will be responsible for providing personalized tutoring sessions based on the students' classwork and preparation for tests, and reporting student progress to MBLC. The work schedule is Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:30pm. If we have interest from other possible clients, the schedule will be flexible based on the tutor's availability but must be consistent from week-to-week. Pay is based on an hourly rate and is $40/hour.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of Integrated Math 2 & 3 (required)
• Teaching and/or tutoring skills (required)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to clearly explain challenging concepts and provide feedback (required)
• Creativity and flexibility to adapt teaching methods and personalize to meet individual student needs
• Progress monitoring and reporting skills
• Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and academic integrity at all times
