TRX, Inc., one of the Bessemer Management trucking companies and one of the most experienced intermodal trucking companies in the United States, has an opportunity for a full-time, on-site Intermodal Dispatcher in our Savannah, GA dispatch terminal.

In this role and as part of TRX Savannah’s Terminal Team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the movement of freight for our customers, as well as supporting our owner operators in that effort.

Responsibilities of the Position:

• Scheduling and dispatching truck drivers
• Monitoring and tracking shipments to ensure safe, on-time delivery
• Communicating with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to dispatch activities

Qualifications & Interpersonal Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Intermodal dispatch experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of shipping ports and related terminology strongly preferred
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to recognize and appropriately respond to tone in phone and email correspondence
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Customer service-oriented
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
• Proficient use of or aptitude for quickly learning dispatch software and other computer programs, apps, and websites
• Experience with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and Outlook

Physical Demands of the Position:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; and reach with hands and arms to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
