We are seeking a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for a full-time locum tenens opportunity in Mason City, Iowa. This role includes a combination of clinic, surgical, and call responsibilities in a supportive hospital environment.
Position Details:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM clinic hours
On-Call: 24-hour trauma/orthopedic call coverage with follow-up clinic for your patients
Coverage Requirement: Minimum of 2 weeks per month
Trauma Level: Level III
Practice Setting: Hospital-based with clinic and operating room responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Outpatient clinic visits (new and follow-up patients)
Surgical procedures for trauma and elective orthopedic cases
24-hour call coverage for ED and inpatient orthopedic consults
Rounding on post-operative patients
Performing orthopedic trauma procedures as needed
Coordinating care with hospital staff, advanced practice providers, and other specialists
Requirements:
Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Active Iowa medical license or Active IMLC
Prior trauma and surgical experience preferred
Availability for at least 2 weeks per month
