Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Materials Manager to lead and oversee material procurement, production control, and shipping/receiving operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth supply chain processes that support operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, MRP system experience, and a background in lean manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage all materials-related functions including procurement, inventory control, production scheduling, and logistics.
• Oversee shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align material planning with production goals and timelines.
• Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
• Monitor supplier performance and negotiate terms to support cost and quality objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies throughout the materials department.
• Lead, develop, and supervise a team, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a materials management or supply chain leadership role.
• Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Proficiency in using MRP systems for planning and inventory control.
• Strong background in lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
