Job Description

We are seeking a Paralegal to handle first-party commercial and residential property damage claims on behalf of owners against insurance companies. The paralegal will manage all aspects of the discovery process including drafting discovery responses, ensure compliance with all litigation deadlines, coordinate with clients and witnesses for documentation and discovery information, and file and serve litigation documents. This work is in both Texas state and federal courts. The majority of the cases are in federal court so federal litigation experience is a must .

Total Compensation Range : $60,000.00 to $90,000.00

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain efficient workflows to ensure all discovery requests and responses meet strict deadlines
• Ensure there is consistent contact with clients, witnesses, and third parties to gather necessary documentation and maintain constant and cordial client relations
• Review and organize documentation for attorney analysis
• Draft discovery responses and objections for attorney review
• Maintain meticulous tracking systems for all litigation and discovery deadlines across multiple cases
• Ensure quality control and compliance with court rules and procedures
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the Discovery Department and attorneys

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of state and federal civil procedure in Texas and the rules associated with both
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Knowledge of federal litigation procedure, including filing and serving complaints and filing and serving motions and opposition briefs

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in federal litigation
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred
• Knowledge of property insurance claims processes
• Familiarity with court filing systems and procedures in Texas
• This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational capabilities, and excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients, attorneys, and team members.
