Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist with a strong background in union construction payroll, benefits administration, and compliance reporting. This role will require an individual with a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and proficiency in industry-specific systems and processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process union construction payroll, including prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting.
  • Administer benefits programs and perform detailed reporting activities.
  • Handle workers' compensation claims and ensures compliance with insurance protocols.
  • Maintain OSHA records and compliance documentation.
  • Process garnishments and other payroll-related actions.
  • Support payroll tax filing (preferred).

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Sage 300 for Construction and Real Estate in a payroll and job cost capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office Suite: Excel basic spreadsheet and formula, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong familiarity with unionized environments and certified payroll requirements.
  • Experience in managing compliance efforts related to prevailing wages, OSHA, and other labor regulations.
  • Analytical mindset for resolving complex payroll and benefit issues. Good understanding of payroll tax filings is a bonus skill.
