Responsibilities:

• Assess students using appropriate evaluation tools including standardized tests, clinical observations, and review of reports to determine need for therapy services
• Develop and implement individualized therapy programs for qualifying students
• Document evaluations, IEPs, progress reports, classroom/home programs, and other required data
• Provide consultation with teachers and staff to support students’ functional participation in the school environment
• Recommend and assist with adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and classroom programming
• Collaborate with families regarding therapy plans and student needs
• Maintain and adapt specialized equipment as needed for therapy services
• Investigate and recommend suitable equipment and funding options
• Provide in-service training for school personnel regarding physical therapy and inclusion
• Supervise PTAs and mentor therapy interns from colleges and universities
• Manage departmental supplies and maintain records per state and district guidelines
• Travel between school locations as necessary

Requirements:

• Active Illinois PT License (IDFPR)
