Job Description

Overview:

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Project Controls Professional III will support project teams by developing detailed schedules, integrating cost estimates, and analyzing performance data to ensure accurate forecasting and timely execution. Responsibilities include preparing reports, managing data systems, and coordinating with stakeholders to identify and resolve scheduling and cost-related issues. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.

Pay rate: $76.02 - $106.17

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers, nuclear development staff, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary data for accurate scheduling and cost identification
  • Support the development of project scope and coordinate with assigned project teams
  • Prepare detailed Level 1–5 project implementation schedules using Primavera P6
  • Integrate project cost estimates with schedules to produce logic-tied, resource-loaded cost flow projections
  • Analyze schedule deviations to identify and report on activities that may impact cost or schedule
  • Prepare reports that analyze variations and compare baseline schedules to progress schedules, including critical path method, resource and cost loading, manpower forecasts, submittals, impact projections, and recovery plans
  • Evaluate real-time cost and schedule performance to determine project status and financial condition
  • Recommend corrective actions to mitigate cost and schedule overruns
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate Estimates to Completion (ETC) for reliable forecasting
  • Enter data into various databases through direct entry or by translating electronic data provided by client organizations
  • Maintain configuration control of data throughout the project approval and execution processes
  • Perform independent consistency reviews, resolve findings, and apply lessons learned to promote continuous improvement
  • Attend project challenge and approval meetings, regular check-ins with project managers, safety briefings, and general staff meetings
  • Execute assigned tasks with professionalism and attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 8 years of experience in a project controls/project management position in an industrial environment.
  • OR AA degree and 9 years of project controls / project management experience.
  • OR High School diploma or GED and 11 years of project controls / project management experience in lieu of degree. Formal training on Primavera P6 or another project management system is required.
  • Earned Value Management Certification via the Project Management Institute (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP)
  • Experience in Nuclear industry, renewable energy, or construction.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management methodology and project controls
  • Proficiency in variance analysis and cost/schedule performance evaluation
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and professional project management principles
  • Familiarity with project reporting and cost analysis practices
  • Strong administrative and time management skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting and speaking in front of groups
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data checking
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and understand interrelated activities
  • Effective keyboarding and data organization skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Experience supporting large, complex projects with budgets of $25M+
  • Familiarity with Asset Suite, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives
  • General knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
