Job Summary:

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, documents

related to ingredients and packaging materials, and vendor relationships. You will work closely

with the inventory and warehouse departments to ensure that materials are on hand to supply the

needs of the contract manufacturing business. The perfect candidate will have the ability to

multitask while being extremely organized with high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize management and inventory systems to initiate purchase orders for just in time manufacturing needs
  • Create and process purchase orders in accordance with GummyWorks’ policies and procedures
  • Source new suppliers and manage vendor relationships
  • Source raw materials and components
  • Negotiate price and purchasing terms with vendors
  • Ensure that purchased products and technical documents meet the requirements of our customers and facility
  • Oversee entire life cycle of procurement process
  • Coordinate and manage the logistics of delivery schedules to maintain required inventory levels of hundreds of items
  • Establish and maintain minimum levels of inventory for hundreds of items related to manufacturing and general business activities
  • Adhere to GMP and safety regulations while handling materials.
  • Assist in audits and compliance checks related to purchased materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Computing skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to generate reports and maintain records.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
