Quantitative Research Analyst – Austin, TX

The Role

Work closely with portfolio managers, researchers, and developers to design and enhance quantitative investment strategies. You will develop innovative techniques, analyse large datasets, and leverage proprietary technology to deliver measurable performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Improve existing portfolio management strategies and develop new quantitative approaches.
• Conduct rigorous research to identify opportunities that enhance scale and risk-adjusted returns.
• Collaborate across teams to design data-driven solutions to high-impact questions.
• Explore new data sources and techniques through research, providers, and conferences, converting insights into firm revenue.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in quantitative research or a data-intensive technical field.
• Strong programming and data analysis skills in Python and/or R .
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with experience handling large datasets.
• Knowledge of machine learning and optimization techniques preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree (STEM discipline strongly preferred).
