Role Summary

PM Real Estate Services INC is seeking an experienced Lead Framer to oversee framing operations on residential construction projects. You will coordinate onsite framing activities, mentor a crew, ensure compliance with safety and building codes, and work closely with project managers and subcontractors to deliver high‑quality homes. Candidates with an active California C‑5 framing license are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead framing operations: Coordinate and perform hands‑on framing tasks, including constructing walls, roofs and floor systems, and installing sheathing and bracing.
• Interpret plans: Read and interpret blueprints and specifications; lay out walls, floors and roof trusses accurately.
• Crew supervision: Direct, train and motivate framing crews, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Safety & quality: Enforce job‑site safety protocols and conduct quality‑control inspections to ensure work meets structural and aesthetic requirements.
• Material and schedule management: Order materials, track job progress and labor hours, and maintain project documentation.
• Stakeholder communication: Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors and clients, addressing on‑site challenges and ensuring clear communication.

Desired Qualifications

• C‑5 license preferred: Active California C‑5 framing and rough carpentry contractor license.
• Experience: At least 5 years of framing/carpentry experience with a track record in residential construction and crew supervision.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in reading plans and using framing tools (saws, nail guns, levels).
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations and best practices.
• Physical ability: Capable of lifting 50–75 pounds and performing physically demanding tasks such as climbing, kneeling and working at heights.
• Soft skills: Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities with a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Additional: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to pass background and drug checks.

Compensation & Benefits

The $40 to $50 an hour starting pay is based on experience and qualifications. PM Real Estate Services INC provides a benefits package that may include health insurance, paid time off and retirement plans.
