Special Risk Underwriters (SRU) is conducting a candidate search looking a Senior Underwriter to support the SRU XS Casualty Sidecar program. SRU is an AmWINS Group company (

Responsibilities

• Manage book of business including underwriting new business and maintaining renewal ratios.
• Marketing of product to wholesale brokers through e-mail, phone calls and personal visits.
• Help team members by answering questions they might have regarding department procedures, coverage issues.

This position is open to any location in U.S. with an existing Amwins office. Please visit to few all our locations.

Qualifications

• 4 – 8 years of underwriting experience with a focus on excess casualty risks (experience with quota share structures a plus).
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency with an emphasis in Word and Excel.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
