Job Description

We are seeking a Pharmacist to lead sterile and non-sterile compounding operations at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards (USP, FDA, DEA), manages compounding staff, and oversees quality control procedures.

Position Title: Pharmacist

Location: Pompano Beach, FL

Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise sterile and non-sterile compounding operations.
• Ensure compliance with USP guidelines, FDA, and DEA regulations.
• Train and manage compounding staff on policies and procedures.
• Review batch records, quality control data, and product labels.
• Approve compounded products for production release.
• Maintain and execute the daily compounding schedule.
• Support quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Manage inventory of pharmaceutical ingredients and perform scheduled counts.
• Oversee cleaning and maintenance of compounding environments.
• Conduct controlled substances handling in line with regulations.
• Maintain necessary documentation per state and federal laws.
• Handle special projects and other assigned duties.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manage and coach pharmacy technicians and compounding support staff.
• Conduct training and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree.
• Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding preferred.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Working knowledge of USP 795/797/800, FDA, and pharmacy regulations.
