Job Description

About Your Role:

As a Store Display Associate at Dollar Tree, you’ll assist individually and/or as part of a team with all operational tasks delegated by the Store Display Lead to open new stores, renovate existing stores, complete special projects, and support store operators when not on assigned projects. You will travel to all project sites to ensure accurate and proper completion. A successful person in this role is passionate about collaboration across several cross-functional teams and can adapt to a dynamic retail environment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Project Support and Execution

  • Participate in renovation, new store, relocation, expansion, and other project types, ensuring completion to company standards and timelines.
  • Assist in merchandising and product placement.
  • Unload merchandise from delivery trucks, organize inventory, and transfer products from stockroom to store.
  • Build and tear down fixtures, set schematics, and implement zone-a-grams and merchandise templates.
  • Perform cleaning and general upkeep of project areas.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and complete other assigned tasks.

Team Collaboration and Standards

  • Support daily store project activities as directed by the Store Display Coordinator/Lead.
  • Communicate effectively with Store Display Leads, Coordinators, and other team members to ensure successful operations.
  • Partner with store operations and Store Development management to meet and exceed project standards.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Implement new procedures, best practices, and efficiencies for project success.
  • Support and assist other Store Display Associates and team members as needed.

  • Ability to manage personal and company expenses related to travel.

Physical and Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb and perform physical activities safely.
  • Travel up to 100% of the time to specific project locations, including overnight travel for up to 14 consecutive days.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and be able to work non-traditional hours.

Equipment Requirements:

  • Must be able to operate small power tools safely and effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 1–3 years of related work experience, preferably in retail. Prior full-time or part-time store management experience preferred.

Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and ability to learn new software applications.
