Job Description

DHS requires Architectural/Engineering (Contractor) services for conceptual and definitive design and engineering support. The Contractor shall provide all aspects of design and engineering to include, but not be limited to, civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, architectural, fire protection/life safety, and HVAC for the design of renovations and new construction of DHS leased and owned facilities. The primary components of each project will vary in requirements and complexity, and require flexibility of performance. The design and engineering deliverables will include, but are not limited to, drawings, construction specifications, procurement specifications, calculations, and cost estimates. The Contractor shall provide all aspects of engineering services, including travel (site visits), management, administration, coordination, and development of design documents required to support construction, installation, testing, startup, and commissioning associated with each project in accordance with the requisites of this SOW and all DHS standards, requirements, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experienced in managing long term and large-scale projects. Substantial experience in managing business issues associated with client requirements.
  • Knowledgeable of risk management and avoidance techniques.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience maintaining productive and effective client relationships with the most senior levels of the client organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 14 years minimum experience and 2 years of Federal experience, PMP preferred.
