Project Manager – Commercial Construction

About the Role

As a Project Manager , you’ll be responsible for generating sales , building long-term client relationships , and managing painting projects from bid to close-out . You will oversee all financial and operational aspects of each project, including estimating, budgeting, strategic planning, financial negotiation, and customer communication.

We’re looking for someone who’s not only sharp with attention to detail and organization, but also great with people and thrives in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare accurate and detailed commercial painting estimates
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on budget, timeline, and quality
  • Maintain project schedules and assign labor/resources efficiently
  • Track financials, manage billing, and handle change orders proactively
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service
  • Visit job sites regularly for estimating, progress tracking, and quality control
  • Work collaboratively with field supervisors, clients, vendors, and internal departments
  • Develop strategies and problem solve to achieve maximum efficiency and project success

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe
  • Experience with construction or estimating software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and highly responsive under pressure
  • Professional, goal-oriented, and adaptable
  • Comfortable handling conflict , making decisions, and course-correcting in real time
  • Basic knowledge of construction and/or paint materials
  • Team-first mindset with the ability to lead and motivate

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in commercial painting or specialty coatings
  • Working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
  • Previous success managing sales goals or project P&Ls
